Welcome to the Canadian Hospitality Foundation
The Canadian Hospitality Foundation offers over $200,000 worth of scholarships for students wishing to pursue a career in the hospitality, foodservice and tourism industry.
We are Canada’s largest industry-driven source of scholarships. We raise the funds and act as a clearing-house for the scholarships promotion, administration and processing. Money is raised through the CHF's annual fund raising ball held in late October. This year's ball will be held on Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 at The Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The Canadian Hospitality Foundation serves as a vehicle for foodservice and hospitality corporations to invest in the future of their own industry through their support of the CHF's scholarship program.
The CHF was established in 1962 by the Canadian Restaurant Association (now the Canadian Restaurant & Foodservices Association) and is guided by a Board of Directors made up of senior executives from the foodservice and hospitality industry as well as foodservice and hospitality educators. It has been administered and managed by the Ontario Hostelry Institute since November 1993. The CHF is a charitable organization.
Our mission is to ensure that bright and deserving young men and women do not shelve their dreams of a college or university education in the hospitality and foodservice industry for lack of financial resources.
